And welcome to the second installment of Zen Parenting Radio.

Thanks for joining us.

Last week, if you listened, we started talking about self-care or selfish parenting, as it says on our blog.

And last week we focused on why it's important to take care of yourself and how that's an

underlying theme through basically everything we're going to be talking about on this show

today and beyond.

And so while last week we focused specifically on what self-care is, and we gave some examples

of how we practice self-care, how I do things like yoga or go to a coffee shop to be alone.

I play golf.

Spends time with his friends, that kind of thing.

You know, the things we do to practice self-care so we can have a more positive relationship with each other,

so we can have a more positive relationship with our friends, our children,

at work, the whole works. And so today, we are going to focus more specifically on our communication

with each other and how self-care plays a role in that. And I feel like I have more ammunition

in my gun for this week, for some reason last week. Although I thought the show went

really well, I think I have some really good realizations that I can help the guys out there

with in understanding their wife. So I'm hoping that we can go ahead and do that this week.

Excellent. And speaking of, since you said wife, Todd and I, because the two of us are going to be having this

discussion, we're going to be talking about a lot how we communicate with each other, how

husbands and wives communicate with each other, the man and the woman communicate with each other.
