Mailback questions, a lot of good ones coming up later in the show. Tony Vitello issues a statement on the hiring of Josh Elander. Elander's introductory press conference was Monday morning, and man, I thought he knocked it out of the park. No pun intended. But before all that, let's take a quick look at the Oklahoma Sooners, Tennessee's next challenger on the gridiron. And of course, all these games from here on out, as we've known since the loss to Alabama, these are de facto college football playoff games because you've got to keep

1:16.3

winning. If you are going to make the college football playoff field, you are not going to do it

1:22.6

with three losses, in my opinion. You're just not. At least one year of history tells us that.

1:27.2

Now, the league's a bit

1:28.2

different this year. There's a lot of parity. So potentially, you know, where you are, some

1:33.3

teams might be valued higher than others. It still wouldn't be the case for Tennessee because

1:37.6

Tennessee would not have a really, really good win on the schedule. Your two best chances, Georgia and Alabama, you lost those. A win over Oklahoma would be good. A win over a Vanderbilt at the end of the year will be good. But Tennessee doesn't have a big signature win on the schedule, and I would assume if you're not in three, Tennessee wouldn't have a big signature win on the schedule. So you need to win this game to stay in the hunt, right? And, you know, again, you're not going to make the college football playoff on Saturday for Tennessee

2:04.5

or Oklahoma, because Oklahoma still has two losses as well, as well, but you can lose your spot in the

2:09.9

field for sure. So big game all around for Tennessee and Oklahoma on Saturday at Neeland Stadium.

2:16.5

It's going to be a night game at Nealyn. I about that. Dark mode activated day after Halloween. So that's going to be really exciting, really fun. Hopefully that I'll create some juice in the stadium, some more juice. There's going to be plenty of it because Tennessee hasn't been home in forever. It'll be number 14, Tennessee, number 18, Oklahoma. Tennessee, of course, or both teams, rather, six and two identical records. Tennessee, three and two in SEC play, and you have Oklahoma that is two and two.

2:38.7

And our friends over at Fandle Sportsbook had this game at three and a half. It's at the beginning of the week.

2:43.8

It would be interesting to see kind of what this game looks like. You know, the football power index gives Tennessee a 23% chance to making the college football

2:51.7

playoffs. Oklahoma, a 19.4% chance to make the playoff. Of course, if either one of these teams

2:56.8

went out and finishes 10 and 2, that percentage would go to around 90% that we remember.

3:04.7

Tennessee, again, coming off a win over Kentucky. It was Oklahoma that fell to Auburn, or excuse me, it was Oklahoma that fell to Old Miss, 3426. I'm at home. Oklahoma owns wins over Auburn, 24 to 17, and South Carolina, 26 to 7 in Southeastern Conference play while having lost to the Rebels and to Texas a

3:25.8

couple weeks ago and the Red River rivalry, 23 to 6 on a neutral field in that one.

3:32.6

So, yeah, it's going to be a good one.

3:36.4

Storylines galore.

3:37.3

We know all about Josh Hype on his history with Oklahoma, his alma mater, where he
