It comes amid a desperate humanitarian crisis inside Gaza, and is Israeli forces prepare

for a potential ground invasion with the Israeli Defense Minister telling troops today they

would soon see Gaza quote from the inside.

President Biden's remarks just the second Oval Office address of his presidency follow

his return from Israel where he reaffirmed U.S. support and broke out an agreement to

allow desperately needed humanitarian aid into southern Gaza from Egypt.

This morning the White House deputy national security adviser John Feiner said aid could

begin to reach civilians soon.

We believe those trucks will get into Gaza over the course of the next day or so.

The President has also been quite clear though that if we see that aid being misappropriated,

being taken essentially by Hamas for its own purposes, that that will affect the continued

distribution of assistance.

And so he sent a strong message that this aid needs to get to the Palestinian people in

Gaza, to civilians in Gaza, that this is not some sort of support program for fighters
