Welcome to meet the press now. I'm Gabe Gutierrez in Washington where the

Biden administration is weighing its options and vowing to take action after a

deadly attack on American service members.

This is the first time U.S. troops have been killed

during more than three months of assaults by Iran-backed militia groups

since the Israel-Homaz war broke out, and it's raising concerns about the potential

for a significant escalation in an already tense region.

The Defense Department says the drone hit a base along the border of Syria and Jordan called Tower 22

killing three US service members and injuring more than 40 others including

eight who had to be medevacked out of Jordan.

The Pentagon says those troops are now in stable condition.

And this afternoon we learned the identities of those three US soldiers who were killed.
