Starting here in Washington, Senate negotiators were back at it today and they made some progress

according to Senate leadership but an actual deal and legislative text that could get

60 votes in the Senate and pass the House that's still a long way off.

Which means that funding for Ukraine, for Israel, and for other U.S. national security priorities

is stuck in limbo too, because it's all been linked together.

Today, lawmakers told NBC news that they will not

rush to a deal despite dire warnings from Democrats on the issue of Ukraine and
