Right now, former President Donald Trump remains head and shoulders above the Republican

field, and seemingly nothing he says or does on the campus. and up 36 points on his closest rival.

Historically speaking, that's a mammoth lead.

And it comes despite an escalating pattern of hard-lied campaign rhetoric.

In recent weeks, the former president has called his perceived

political enemies vermin, borrowing a term that was used in Nazi Germany to

justify genocide. He told Fox News that he would be a dictator on day one of his presidency.

He quoted Vladimir Putin's attacks on the US while praising the authoritarian leader,

and now he's taken his anti-immigrant rhetoric to new levels saying this on Saturday.
