Welcome to Troubled Waters, the show that treats popular culture as the most important

kind of culture, because it could potentially be the kind that bums you out the least.

Back before all of this, Trouled Waters would pit two teams of comedians against each other

in a pop culture battle royale.

Can't do that anymore. Teaming up with another person

in a closed space definitely frowned upon, more frowned upon perhaps than trying to glean full meanings

from the cryptology of the lyrics of the Taylor Swift album. So for now, it is one comic against another.

To win this battle, each comic will be called upon to use their smarts, their rhetorical

skills, the great comebacks they've been saving in a moleskin notebook for the last two years

to earn the coveted Troubled Waters title, Pundit Emeritus. That'll give their person's opinion

on feeling like everybody is a sexy

baby, more weight than a

civilian. That's an actual lyric from

the Taylor Swift, and it must

mean something. I'm sure there's a Reddit thread for it.
