Let's first talk about what it must be like as a fan base or as a program or as an

athletic director to know that your guy is in the mix at other places.

And we're happy to have you with us today on what is a show that we don't always like to talk about, frankly.

Talking about the coaching carousel, talking about guys potentially losing their jobs, talking about the possibilities of guys relocating, starting buzz, operating in the rumor mill, operating in the message boards.

It's not really our thing.

Like for those of you that have been with us from the get-go, and this shows only a couple years old.

We're not very old.

We just celebrate our 500th episode just

last week. But we are in a spot right now where every single week I go on the road. My number

one job is to go and call games for ABC. So I am constantly meeting with these coaches, seeing

these coaches face to face. And in many cases, I have a personal

relationship with a lot of these guys. And let's be real, I will not allow my personal relationship

to infect the way I evaluate how a guy is doing his job. Just not going to do that. I mean,

I think most coaches are very honest.

They understand, hey, I got to do a better job here. Hey, we need to be better here. Most coaches,

while some are occasionally thin-skinned, most for the most part, understand all right,

what the expectations are at the place that they're currently coaching at. And if they're not

living up to those expectations.

So we don't like doing shows like this, but it's a necessary evil.
