A new documentary just came out about this insane scam, so here's a rerelease of our episode from January:
From 1992 to 2004, managers at fast-food restaurants across the U.S. were scammed into performing strip searches on their employees by a phone caller claiming to be a police officer. This incident occurred over 70 times, sometimes with employees performing sexual acts. One incident at McDonald’s lasted three hours and escalated further than you could ever imagine.
