We have a great show for you this week.

I want to lead off with some updates and keep you appraised of what's going on. Many of you are aware that a few

months ago, Dr. Carrico and Weisman won the Nobel Prize for the invention of modifying synthetic messenger RNA by replacing uricil, a natural

prammidine with pseudo-yuridine.

And pseudo-yuridine is a chemically modified

version of ura so it essentially made messenger RNA as we know it that's

used in the COVID-19 vaccines indestructible, meaning it cannot be broken down by robinucleases.

And this is thought to be at the time a wonderful invention.

It would make the messenger RNA last a very long time if it was replacing a missing protein, for instance, if messenger RNA was coding for insulin in a type 1 diabetic who's insulin deficient,

this would be a wonderful thing to have a renewal source for the production of insulin.

Or if it was a patient with fabrate disease where the deficiency is alpha

galactocytes and important housekeeping enzyme for cells. Replacement

for the alpha galactocytes protein with messenger RNA again would be a wonderful thing. a They were awarded the Nobel Prize, but Carrico and Wiseman were actually intending for their invention to be done for vaccines.
