but they can also cost a lot. Ten million of us in the UK

have dogs. Almost 11 million have cats. And then there are the hamsters, rabbits, giant African

land snails. Pets come in all shapes and sizes. Hello, who's this? Is Lexi our five-month-old

Labradoodle? Hello, Lexie. And what have you just bought Lexi?

Do you spend more on Lexi than you thought you would when you got her?

Yeah, probably. There's lots and lots of things with dogs you can get, and there's always something we find.

Do you guys like to treat her?

Hello, Boo. You can see, very intelligent dog. Do you think that you spend more on boo than you thought you were going to

spend or having a dog? Definitely spend more on the dog than I do on myself. I bought boo the same

colour coat as I've got on now, but boo's cost twice as much as mine. This is Bruno. Bruno is a

lovely, lovely boxer dog. I mean, he's a big dog. How much do you spend, do you think, on dog food? Well, I've got two boxes. This is my younger one. So all together must be about £100 a month.
