I would like to say on behalf of every Texan and every American a deep heartfelt sincere and as big

as Texas, thank you to the people and governor of the great state of

Louisiana. Louisiana National Guard arriving today to bolster our state forces on the border,

joining 13 other states. I could say what took you so long, but instead I

will say thank you.

Thank you to the people who are willing to serve in the National Guard.

These are people who just like a volunteer fireman

the people these people don't get a call the great unseen

These are people who have a job and the people I've met it's not because they need

money it's because a part of them has to be fulfilled. A part of them has to be

they have an itch to scratch.

You get guys who are volunteer firemen.

They got a day job.

They do it because they want to give back.

They want to wear the uniform.

They want to be part of something important. It's like the guys who are reserve deputies. They want to be part of doing something,

but you know, they're not willing to work for, or they don't want to do it all the time.

So thank you very much.
