I got a new camera shut us the log attack. They didn't give me the camera. I spent 60 bucks

My camera's not haunted yet, but it's gonna see some things

So we're gonna spoil all of the perjana case so before warned up front before we get into it

I'm gonna kind of set up sort of where we're at with the movie. So

I would just I thought about just playing a trailer

But we'll have to get into a trailer if the trailers as it turns out are their own thing as often a discovered like literally right before we started recording

So we'll actually get into that because there that there's some political not so much subtext in those in those trailers

So the perjana case takes place six years into the perj cycle like you know crime is down

Yadi out of the the movie shifts perspectives pretty radically and the first movie we're focusing on sort of a rich deeply entitled family

Trying to insulate themselves from the side effects of purging while kind of quiet not kind of apps absolutely

Quietly taking advantage of the way it punishes certain classes of marginalized folks and and this movie we open you know on families of color

The underclass the purges is specifically meant to to target in the name of

Getting crime down and and economics

These people don't have like in the massive metal shutters protect themselves

They're huddled into tiny apartments and broken down neighborhoods. They're hammering wood in nails into their doors and windows by hand

These people that don't have the luxury of wondering well, maybe we should have a weapon in the house like they have to have a weapon in the house

Because these are the kinds of areas where people are going to go out of their way to target them like these are these people are

Are largely defenseless and just kind of hoping they get lucky enough to get through the night

There's sort of three sets of characters that we're dealing with there's a young couple on the verge of telling everyone they're breaking up in which the dude is clearly an asshole

Their car breaks. Yeah, he's bad
