Summary

While Jackie’s away (and stuck in an elevator) Rob and Diana will play…podcast hosting duties for the month. This month last spring’s Book Club choice, “Activity Schedules for Children with Autism” gets released to the free feed (with free CEs for Patreon subscribers!) with new episodes on preference assessments and practicing within a school context. And speaking of pairs of awesome behavior analysts, special guest, John Staubitz, gives us the rundown on special education laws and what BCBAs really need to know about the scope of schoolwork. Now’s the time on podcast when we dance!

Hey, everybody. Welcome to ABA inside track, the podcast. That's like reading in your car, but safer. I'm your host, Robert Perry Cruz, and with me as always are my fabulous co-host.

0:25.3

Hi, it's me, Diana Perry Cruz.

0:28.3

Jackie is not here today.

0:30.1

No.

0:30.5

She had to be away.

0:31.9

Yes.

0:32.7

She had a whirlwind adventure, and it's only just begun.

0:36.8

Maybe she will tell you about it at our next preview.

0:38.7

But for now, yes, she had to be away.

0:41.1

So we are recording our May 2025 preview to show everyone or tell everyone, I should say,

0:49.8

what's going on an ABA Inside Track this coming month.

0:53.7

Most of the time, we're a behavior

0:55.1

analytic podcast where we talk about behavior analytic topics, behavior analytic research,

1:00.7

but we do something a little different at the beginning of the month on the free feed or the

1:04.6

end of the month for our patrons where we give you a little preview of what's coming up

1:08.3

if you want to read ahead. So we have May. So that's the

1:12.4

beginning of spring for us, though you might not know it if you're in New England right now

1:16.3

when we're recording this. But we have some book club episodes from last year coming up as well as

1:22.6

some other episodes and some special guests joining us. So let's kick it off by reviewing what we'll be

1:29.8

talking about in the coming weeks. All right. May is a little bit funny because even though

1:36.7

it has 31 days, it's only going to have four Wednesdays and it just barely squeaks in

1:42.6

the four. It's a little bit unusual. In addition,
