And I got a suggestion for you. And this is why I say, the commanders need to take the Rams philosophy here. Just for this player, though. And say, F them picks. Because it's going to cost you, but this will work out. Trade for Max Crosby. It is better than any free agent that you can get that will get after the quarterback in the NFL. He's pissed off at the Raiders. They're 2 and 14. They sent him home. He left the facility. He's mad. Said he wanted to stay there before. He don't want to be there anymore. Let's be honest with ourselves. Because free agency, it's not really the answer this off season. This is why I'm so adamant that the commanders not just spend money because they can spend money. Now, that doesn't mean that you just sit there and hoard every dollar you have and say, we're not going to do anything. Well, you better. You better do something.

But the best answer for them is getting one of the fiercest pass rushers in the NFL and somebody

that had the Raiders not been as horrible as they were this year, I loved at the beginning

of the year as potential defensive player of the year, and that's Max Crosby. Now, look, you're going to get him on a three-year $106 million deal. Just signed it. So you're not going to have to worry about another extension anytime soon. You've got the cap space to absorb all that money, which is great. And here's the key with Max Crosby. He's just 28 years old. You're getting a guy

just entering his prime in the NFL. And if there is one thing, if not all things that the

commanders need, God, they need a pass rush, don't they? They need somebody that can be feared,

that can get after the quarterback. It's like when Brian Diardo was on last segment, he's talking about, oh, yeah, you know, Chase Young in that Saints defense, I'm like, oh, my God, can we not, can we not, just twisting the knife into old wounds here. Listen, give the Raiders two firsts in Duran Payne, because Duran Payne might get traded this offseason anyway. if it takes a first round pick this year and a first round pick next year in DeRan Payne, I do it.

Now, I get it right, because you're looking around and go, oh, no, we need picks.

There are times where draft picks work, and there are times where they matter,

and there are times where it's better that you get the guy that you know,

you know what he can do on the field.

Because you ain't getting a Max Crosby in this draft right now.

Like that you know, guaranteed, will translate to the NFL.

Again, you swing and miss sometimes. Sometimes guys just don't exceed at the level they did in college in the NFL. We see it all the time. But that was supposed to be Chase Young. Chase Young was still supposed to be a feared pass rusher in the Burgundy and gold right now when he's not. Max Crosby's 28.

You got him locked in on a three-year deal. And if it means giving up your first round pick this year, you need a pass rusher. It's not like you're going out and getting a luxury pick. This is a need for this team. Max Crosby, two first-round picks, Duran Payne. I get it. I'm just throwing out one of those classic scenarios, potential scenarios, and just throwing into the win, but why not? Like, it's going to take you a couple of first round picks, but wouldn't you do that? I would absolutely do that. Now, you may say, what about free agencies? You don't have to give up draft picks, Nick. Well, I'll tell you who you got in free agency. Well, you got Trey Hendrickson who's out there. Trey Hendrickson just made $29 million a year. He's going to be a free agent. He has been fighting with the Bengals for what feels like 100 years over a contract. It's going to cost you. And he's 31 years old. I want somebody with less tread off that tire. I want somebody

that has more years left in their prime in a Max Crosby over Trey Hendrickson. Again, it's going

to cost you. But three years, $106 million extension versus $30 million a year. Just paid a
