Summary

Welcome back to the Pretty Intense Podcast. Max Lugavere is on the show today. Max is a health podcaster, wellness journalist, filmmaker, and author. His podcast is called "The Genius Life". His two books are "Genius Foods" and "Genius Kitchen." Some of you might have tried his famous smoothie. Max's mother suffered from Dementia, so Max was highly motivated to learn how to eat for a healthy brain. Max has been teaching people how to prevent dementia with diet, ever since. Max also talks to us about educating people to realize that the so called experts in the food industry, telling us what and when to eat, may not have our best health interests at heart. Breakfast being called the most important meal of the day was written to sell cereal, not because there is scientific proof. We talk about diet tribes, like carnivores, keto, paleo, vegans, and some of the dogma that attached itself to these camps. All things wellness - that is what today is about, and Max has a great way of explaining what you should eat, and how to filter through the cluttered opinions of the nutrition and wellness arena. Enjoy.
