Hello and welcome to the tampering podcast. I'm Sam Amick, National writer,

at the Athletic Covering the MBA here as always with Fred Katz on the East Coast resident

next beat writer, Fred. How are you, sir? I'm just wonderful. I thought that we were going to be

talking about the undefeated nicks on this podcast. We will, except they're not. When they were up

to 13 on Orlando, and Nick's fans, I'm sure I'd love to know that I'm apparently the jinx,

because I messaged our slack with them up 13 on Orlando at home about how we should talk about

the undefeated nicks. Alas, they're no longer undefeated because they're not undefeated.

They're not undefeated. I do want more of those Nick's fans videos, by the way, with the passion

and the intensity of the Bronx, but also the random strays at Tom Brady. That was my favorite part.

But we'll get to the nicks in a little bit here. We are going to make our way around the league,

as always, talking about the latest and greatest from the first week in the regular season.
