Well, no way to sugarcoat it. That one was tough.

The Mavs get up by 19 in the third quarter.

You're thinking, okay, they're at least going to get the first game of two with the Nuggets playing without their two superstars.

But the Denver Nuggets led by Nicola Yokic and the veterans on that squad, like good veteran teams do, like we see the Mavs

often do. When they're at full strength, they find a way to win games in the fourth quarter,

and that is exactly what happened this afternoon.

The Mavs could not get it going in the fourth. They could not get a run or a burst of their own.

And the Nuggets go on and pull out the win by the final of 112 to 101.
