The Los Angeles Rams allowing Matthew Stafford's agent to talk to other teams to gauge

if there's a trade market for him.

For Albert Breer, Steelers, Browns, Giants, Raiders have shown interest.

Stafford turned 37 this month but got L.A. to the playoffs, beat the Vikings,

played the Eagles as tough as anybody in this postseason, nearly won that game.

starting quarterback Matthew Stafford. They're thinking that they're okay losing him if the price is

right. Now, I don't think they actually want Matthew Stafford to leave, but he's 37 years old.

This is a contract situation. Last offseason, they had to rework his deal up until

the 11th hour of him reporting to training camp. They're in that spot again because he's set

to make $27 million this year. That is criminally low. That can't be the salary he plays at.

So they're saying, go test your fair market value. And if a team like, let's say, the Indianapolis

Colts, a team that's in win now mode,

is willing to pay you upwards of $45, $50 million a year, would you consider it?

And especially if the Rams are able to get draft compensation back so they cannot have to

mortgage their future for Matthew Stafford for one or two or three more years and be able
