I guess I'd like to start by, you know,

asking about your decision to focus on America or the two Americas in your book, as you put it.

You know, I suppose one of the reasons I started my podcast was because of my own kind of love,

hate relationship with America or certain parts of it. You know, I was unhappy with American exceptionalism, yet I recognize there are many

great things about America, America and history.

And even in modern times, it's truly a wonder, a wondrous place, thing, idea, feeling.

And America in many ways, determines the fate of many people and nations around the world.

I guess we could say in history, it's one of the biggest, it's the biggest empire that's ever

existed as of yet.

So, you know, what was kind of the key theme or question driving you in writing the book?
