I got to feel pretty optimistic. I know you sounded a little pessimistic there, but I'm looking at Virginia right now, and that was going to be kind of my bellwether for the evening.

And I'm not expecting Trump to win there necessarily, but the fact that he's got a point lead, it's actually expanded now to a point and a half with half the vote in,

that is not a good look for Democrats. So I take that as a point of confidence. I'm feeling

pretty good. Right. Okay. So why do you think Trump didn't win in 2020? Well, there was a whole publication about fortification, perhaps.

You're right.

No, if I wanted to give the best case possible for that,

I think it was simply the fact that Donald Trump was the

incumbent. And Donald Trump, as much as he is loved, is also uniquely hated. And the Donald Trump

hate vote is a very popular thing. This election is, of course, not that. The incumbent, even though

Kamala Harris doesn't want to be a part of the incumbent party,

the incumbent administration, she is.

Donald Trump is the outsider again, and I think that's going to work to his benefit.
