You know, 14 years ago I heard about this thing where if you added sound

files to a blog which is after all a web blog and I get picked up by certain software you can do what a mini broadcast on people who have that software on their iPods and that was called a podcast. So as you can see I'm going to talk a little bit about the

podcast itself and if you're a new listener and this is the first one episode you're

listening to or if you just don't want to hear this you want to go

through a discussion of history I'm going to take some listener questions so just

forward about 15 or 20 minutes or so. So in 2006 we launched the podcast. It wasn't the first. I'm not the absolute pioneer by any

means. There were a lot of podcasts going. Twit, this week in technology was up. History

according to Bob, skepticality.

It is amazing to see the changes between 2006 and now.

I'm sure at the time in the invention of radio people were shaking their fists at NBC

coming into the market or the Dumont network you know coming into this

when their radio had been a kind of hobbyist choice so they're just something to be
