This is entertainment writer Jim Hill and my co-host, the amazing Aaron Adams and I are recording this week's episode on Thursday, August 18th, 2022, which as Aaron will tell you, as the poor slob who asked to edit this podcast, which goes up tomorrow.

This is far later in the week than we normally do this, right?

Yeah, this is uncharted ground. Can we both record and edit and publish all within less than 24 hours?

It's a challenge. It is a challenge.

It is a classic and talk fast.

Okay, there we go. But the reason we are doing this today is the very first episode of She-Hulk dropped this morning.

In fact, at three o'clock in the morning, so you and I got up bright and early, sat down and watched this thing because we felt like we really can't record this week's episode without having seen this show and commenting on it, right?

Yeah, yeah.

And I think in the end, this was a good call because again, we will talk at the link about the show in the second half of today's episode.

But I was really pleasantly surprised at how entertaining this show was.

But before we launch into that, you have a piece of listener mail, which I love that you come into this show from the world of sound.

And that actually has quite a bit to do with today's mail, right?

Yeah, Dimitri Ravenos, who's a fellow radio brethren who's also obsessed with sound because that's how radio people are wired, is brought up a very valid point that I'll wholeheartedly agree with that he thinks that the music behind the Wakanda Forever trailer is doing all of the emotional have a lifting.

And I think that's very, very accurate.

Starting off with the no woman, no cry, you know, and it's sad and it's somber and it's slow.

And it's got that emotional feel to it, you know, and that carries for the first half of the trailer.

And then it starts to pick up and I mean, when it says the line and when I wake up and the claws come out and reveal that there is indeed some form of a black panther, you know, that's your, your, oh, it's going to be.

And also the lyrics, everything's going to be all right.

I mean, that is marvel specifically saying to you, I know you're worried, everything's going to be all right.

And to have the no woman, no cry upfront, it lets you have your emotional because I mean, we haven't had a chance physically in the MCU yet to mourn the loss of Chadwick Boseman.

We've done it personally, but not on film in any sort of way.
