Hey everyone how's it going? It's been a busy beginning of the week here. Ben is on assignment at cinema con in Las Vegas this is a

Convention for movie theater exhibitors and it's where all the studios come and try to get

all those folk excited about the movies that are coming out for the next year.

But I'm saying that because we're going to talk a little bit about that in today's episode, but also Ben is away.

So there's going to be less episodes this week so you know be warned.

But before we get to cinema con let's start with box office and I think things kind of

turned out the way that you had predicted with this one.

Ryan, why don't you tell us about the weekend box office?

Yeah, the only thing that I got a little wrong is that I really thought that Evil Dead Rise would come in at least at or just a little above the

2013 evil dead, but it was only about a million off so but anyway

Super Mario Brothers movie, once again.

That's like a humble brag of like,

I was wrong.

Well, no, it's not that I, no, but I was wrong.

I fully admit I was wrong there.

But yeah, so the Super Mario Brothers movie had a stellar third weekend.

59.9 million dollars only dropped 35% in its third weekend. I mean it is just on a fairy tale run right now 875

million worldwide already going across the billion club by next weekend for sure might be looking at a run of about 1.2 billion by the time it's done.
