I admit in my own post I have the faintest idea how you make this choice, but I can give

you what looks to be the options and the variables between the two choices.

Just a quick review.

The curiosity is sitting on the geological layout called the Malka Band.

It's successfully did a drill about two weeks ago.

It's in a drill campaign right now.

They actually did a second drilling in the last few days at the same location.

They took advantage of the fact that when they drilled the first time, the top lay a crack.
