I don't know if I can say any more, Bob.

You've got to explain this because it's very odd.

My headline is 10 stupid academic studies funded by the federal government.

Campus Reform listed this last week. I posted on Behind the Black. These are studies that are

absolutely absurd. There should be no money funded at all for them. But we're doing a lot of stuff

like this. For example, the number one on the list was a grant of almost a half a million dollars

for researchers at Reed College in Oregon to study the gambling habits of pigeons.

They claim that understanding this gambling habits of pigeons would shed light on human gambling behaviors.

But as I say on my website, if you believe that, I'd like to buy a seller bridge to you in Brooklyn.

There were 10 different studies here in this list.

These, of course, are not the only ones.

We could probably come up with a hundred stupid studies that the federal

government is financing and academics are using to embezzle money from taxpayers.

Four of these studies on this list were from NIH, four from the National Science Foundation,

one from National Cancer Institute, and its study had nothing to do with

cancer.

And the National Endowments of Humanities did another one.

To give you to another example, another study in this list was the National Science Foundation

funded $1.3 million for scientists at the College of Charleston and South Carolina to make shrimp run on tiny treadmills
