Summary

Do you remember your wedding vows, could you tell us what they are and more importantly if you have been keeping them? Sorry if that feels like a bold and challenging question, but the point is that many of us have forgotten what we promised our spouse at the start of the marriage!

There are a few reasons this happens, tune into the episode to hear what those are. But the more important thing is to ongoingly remake your promises to each other to be a match to the next season of life together and for the individual people you are becoming.

It was our anniversary this past weekend, and the practice of recreating our promises with each other is something we do each year. In this episode we will share with you the exercise we do and share with you the promises we just made with each other. Then you can do the same with your partner and create the future you truly desire for your marriage!

0:38.8

Every year. And in a way, we kind of audit these throughout the year.

0:43.8

Because just like creating, you know, New Year's resolutions isn't enough to review your

do you actually remember what you promised? Like, have you thought about it? And I know some people choose to do like the traditional, I promise to love, honor, and cherish you. Sickness and a hell. Right. And then others, you know, create their own, like we wrote our own vows. But you have to ask yourself, like, have you actually checked in? Hmm, what did I promise my partner and have them been keeping those?

1:28.3

Yeah, key question.

1:29.2

That's second one for sure.

1:30.6

And I think sometimes with the marriage vows, it's conceptual, it's kind of vague, right?

1:38.5

And nothing wrong with it.

1:39.8

You went with like traditional vows.

1:41.8

It's just not very specific.

1:43.9

And if when you've been listening, you really need like specific agreements and promises,
