I welcome Elizabeth Peac, a columnist at the Hill, a comment on, a comment on these days after the

presentation by the President of the United States rattled the American people as well as our allies

and adversaries because of presumptions that had existed before the debate no longer exist

and what is to be done.

Liz, a very good evening to you.

I begin with the question of the markets

responding to the changing political tide in America.

Right now, Joe Biden remains a presumptive nominee of the Democratic Party, as does Mr. Trump

remain the presumptive nominee of the Republican Party.

There is a lot of attention to the Supreme Court decision.

That all turns, of course, on the campaigns.

What is understood as lawfare, what is understood as unusually controversial

prosecutions against an opponent, but behind that is a concern about

Mr. Biden's ability to survive four more years in office.

Have the markets indicated in any fashion defensive or offensive or recalculation in your measure? Good evening. or is a slow turn by investors to the possibility, probability, maybe, of a Trump presidency.

And you're beginning to see investor letters, strategy people coming out as saying, okay, if Trump is elected and in particular, if he has a strong showing down ballot, that is to say they take the Senate and keep the House, you know, what can you

expect from a Republican presidency? Yesterday was the beginning of the

second half of the year, the markets went up. I would say that one of the markets went up. I would say that one of the groups that might benefit

from a Trump presidency and I doubt that anyone is talking about this is tech.

Tech was up yesterday obviously it's been the leader what is talking about this is tech.
