Summary

Rob & Rob are back again with another Friday market update for you.  This week the property market has been a bit quiet, which isn’t always a bad thing. Nobody seems to be panicking when it comes to buying and selling, and they’re certainly not slashing prices either.  However, we’ve said many times that there will be deals to be made for those that need to sell their property sooner rather than later. And despite many holding out to see if prices would drop, there aren’t any indications of this happening right now. One thing Rob & Rob have noticed however, is a change in rental prices. Many landlords are taking their chances with reduced rents rather than no rents at all - which is a wise move.  Rob & Rob have also been doing a fair bit of reading this week, and Rob B has been reading up on the history (and the value of gold) after making a small investment himself.  So, what did he find out and how did his gold investment do? Well you’ll have to tune in to find out the answers - it’s actually pretty interesting.  Enjoy - and we’ll be back next week! P.S See if you can spot the mistake in this week's episode.... the lockdown is clearly having an affect on one Rob in particular!   We’d love to hear what you think of our new market updates over on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. You might even have a question you’d like us to cover in the future - if so, pop us a message on social and we’ll see what we can do.   Make sure you’ve liked and subscribed to our YouTube channel where we upload new content every week!  If that wasn’t enough, you can also join our friendly property community on the Property Hub forum. 0:15.8

What the hell's going on?

0:16.6

How are you feeling about it?

0:17.8

Well, I have no idea what's going on.

0:19.4

How am I feeling?

0:20.8

I knew you were to ask this. I feel okay. I don't feel excited or massively positive and I don't feel like the world's about to end. I'm kind of just okay with everything and I think that's okay feeling okay.

0:35.8

What about you? I think that's okay and yeah same really it's it we touched on it last week but it's always hard to reconcile all the different things that are going on in that there's sort of a lot of demon gloom but we were expecting this level of demon gloom and it's in some ways less gloomy than expected

0:55.2

and so should you be feeling good about that because it's better than it could have been or bad about that

0:59.2

because you're hearing about hundreds of people dying every day. It's all very weird and I think

1:04.9

feeling kind of neutral is probably the only way there is to feel at the moment and that's what we

1:11.9

seem to be seeing in the property market at the moment

1:15.3

Rob because it's kind of been a quiet week for property as well. It's been really

1:18.2

quiet which I think is a good thing you know no one's being panicky around property. When you look at property prices online, which obviously we do every single day because it's kind of our job, no one's panicking. There aren't like people slashing prices here there and everywhere. Of course if you push for it,

1:36.1

we've talked about this, there's a possibility to do deals for people who really do need to sell right now.

1:41.5

But there's not mass panic the whole market isn't

1:44.3

collapsing whole market isn't going ah what's gonna happen so it seems like it's

1:48.2

been a very quiet week generally for property but again I think that's okay, Rob.
