So the Nats swept the Orioles.

I just want to start with this.

What happened to the Orioles this year?

It's obviously a pitching issue, but they were supposed to be, you know, a playoff

contending team in the American League East.

They currently have, I think, the third or fourth worst record in all of baseball.

Yeah, well, it was a pitching issue this weekend, but I think it's an everything issue

as far as the season goes.

I mean, you name it, it's gone wrong for them.

And, you know, I'm not around them every day, but what I've gathered, certainly from

being there this weekend, talking to a lot of people around that team, there was the sense that, okay, they've done such a great job of building an organization from within,

some great draft picks, had the two outstanding seasons, made the playoffs,

and then didn't do anything when they got to October.

And it was time to take that next step.

And what happened is they just sort of relied on all those young players to be able to do that on their own and didn't bring in the right kind of veterans to supplement them.
