Deborah Mark is here. And we're riding heard over two situations, I would say, that kind of have sort of Washington-centric aspects to them.

One is, of course, Biden ending his bid for a second term.

I was talking with Gary and Shannon about this.

There's sort of grim realities associated with it, much as Biden wanted to continue on.

The internal polling, the polling within the Biden campaign, which is really granular,

particularly in these swing states, it showed literally no path to victory.

And he was prevailed upon this weekend.

Obviously, there's been a drumbeat that's gotten louder.

I mean, since the debacle of that debate, the drumbeat has become so loud, lose donors,

you lose supporters, increasing calls quietly for you to push back from the campaign, and then

those calls go public.

And so at some point, it was clear that he was going to have to find God on this.

And he did, although he found it on what a miserable weekend he's had.

He's got COVID.

He's in Rojoboth in Delaware.

And essentially, his closest age share the data with him.

And he comes to the conclusion that he can no longer continue.

A sharp turn for history.
