good morning mark yes Mike I was last night I was watching a video on YouTube with your old

partner Steve Allen and Johnny Mercer doing a medley of Alan would sing a song and you say well Johnny did you ever write a song similar to that was very clever oh yeah that's great yeah go on the YouTube great type Steve Allen Johnny Mercer is some amazing stuff all those old variety shows all those great everything you've ever seen on TV and you want to see again it's on youtube in fact it's fabulous there's some nights i don't watch anything except youtube all night

and it's addictive that's what i was doing last night and i stumbled on this and it got me to

thinking about the old a m fm format first of all i wanted to ask you if you ever worked in the

the old fm format like your friend jon Jonathan Schwartz who would do sets sort of like

that you know he'd play like you know you know uh black Sabbath and Frank Sinatra in the same set

you know back in the back in the uh yeah no I was on my first came to New York I was on WPIX FM which

was a very hot cutting edgeedge FM station back then.

And we played all these new artists, nobody heard before, like the police and that kind of stuff.
