If you're not following the story, the Live Golf Tour slash Golf League is losing its biggest funding partner,

and that would be Saudi Arabia's public investment fund. They announced yesterday

that they are pulling funding following this upcoming 2026 season. By the way, one of the

live tour events is here next week at Trump National.

The announcement of this included a mention that that tournament next week, which starts Thursday at Trump National in Northern Virginia, will go on as planned.

But this is the group that provided the opportunity for, you know, generational wealth for many players.

I mean, John Rom, you know, signed a deal in which he got paid 90 plus million to join the Live Tour.

Dustin Johnson got 64 million.

Bryson DeCambeau got 50-something million.

Phil Mickelson reportedly signed for $200 million.

So I just mentioned that the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund is pulling its funding,

and it has funded a lot over the last three and a half, four years.

So does this, I mean, the simple conclusion would be live ends after this year. Is that

fair or not? I would think those are the odds. I wouldn't put the death knell in it quite yet because

there are enough rich guys out there who love golf to where they might

make an investment, but it wouldn't be anywhere near what they were getting from the PIF

and the league wouldn't look anything like it looks like today.
