Hey, we'll get to J.D. Vance, I almost said, Sy Vance. We'll get to J.D. Vance, the vice president of the candidate. We'll get to the Olympics. We'll get to Israel and the election, and, of course, a whole lot more. It's Monday. You know, the great thing

since the pandemic ended, some things change for the worse, some things change for the better.

The good thing is nobody goes to work Monday or Friday. It's remote work Monday and Friday.

People come in Tuesday. Everybody comes in on Wednesday. Some people come in on

Thursday, but Monday is always empty. Friday's completely dead. And the good thing about that,

you remember you used to come in on Monday and the office was packed and everywhere you go,

you walk down the hall. Everybody at Cizs on Monday, over's weekend? Huh? How was your weekend? See, you have to answer. That was good. What'd you do? I'm going to sit there and explain your whole weekend to them. So this is great. Nobody shows up until Tuesday. You don't have to answer all these questions. Because whatever you tell them you did for the weekend, it's never good enough for them.

They just look at you like, that's it, that's it.

Anyway, so J.D. Vance, as Michael Goodwin just explained, will turn out to be an incredibly strong VP candidate.

Now, a vice president doesn't win you the election, as Nixon famously said, a vice

presidential candidate can't really help you. You just don't want him to hurt you. The old

thinking was he could help you win a state, but that's never really been the case in recent years.

Clinton kind of broke that rule when he went with Gore

from a state that they would easily win and it was right next door, two Southerners. So,

but Vance is a great vice presidential candidate. He wrote the book Hillbilly Ellogy,

which became a huge bestseller, a big Ron Howard movie. And they call Trump the blue collar billionaire.

Because even though he's a billionaire from New York City, a very urban billionaire,

he is kind of a blue collar guy.

His whole life has been spent in the construction industry and on construction sites.

And as a kid, he worked as a construction worker.

Every summer, he'd work on a crew.
