I did stand up when he was at the Patriot Awards. Yeah. And the magic trick of comedy is you don't read the room. You have to lead the room. Somebody has you a a microphone you have to be so in charge it's

like do you know a guy's robin a bank and he fires a shot into the ceiling to get everybody's attention

that's kind of how you do comedy when you've got like a really powerful audience because if you don't

have the whole bank's attention you ain't getting out of there with the money man just how it works

explain that again so you don't read the room don't worry about what the reaction lead the room

how do you lead the room yes comedy so this is the thing when you yes when you are a comic okay

you control the conversation the tone the tenor the entire vibe in the room because you're

the only guy with a microphone.

Like the room is silent and they're listening to what you have to say. So you lead the room, what I mean by that is get the room to the energy you want it to be and for your jokes to work. Make sure they know you're bargaining with them in good faith. You know, you want to be pleasant.
