now or the price index hey this book inflation obviously you had to start a long time ago to

write this book uh did you just see it coming did you know it was going to be this bad i didn't

see we didn't see it coming this bad, but a year ago, early 2021 when we started,

was clear that neither the new Biden administration or the Federal Reserve understood the dangers

of what they're doing. We make the point in the book, there are two kinds of inflation,

non-monetary which comes from things

like droughts or lockdowns where you get these artificial shortages and which sends prices up

and the monetary kind when you lower the value of your currency and they were getting hit with both

right now and the Biden administration you know with a non-monetary inflation, those things will work themselves out as we did after World War II.

We're covering from a wartime economy to a peacetime economy.

It takes time to go from making bombers to refrigerators.

But we did it.
