which it rounds up, the reporter rounds up campaigns across the country,

that, and talks about how non-white candidates are being pressured by non-white citizens in their,

in their communities, in their cities, to crack down on crime.

And the Times writes this in such a sympathetic way that the emphasis on race is so apparent

that it is now okay for black Democrats to crack down on crime in the cities. That this is

the Democratic Party's base, and it's not just the Republicans who want safer streets. It's the

Democrats and it's non-white Democrats to boot. So therefore, it's okay.

It's okay for Democrats to run on an anti-crime platform. Now, the significance of that, of course,

is that for the last three years, and if not for the last three decades, the Democrats have been the

pro-criminal party. They've been the most critical of police, the most lenient when it comes

to prosecutions, to arrest, expunge the records, turn them loose, you know, no bail, blah, blah, blah, from city to city.
