Good morning, Mark. Thank you.

It was a very difficult Sunday for many of us yesterday to wake up and find out there was no Michael Goodwin column in the paper.

Had there been one, what would we have read?

Well, I think, Michael, what's really significant around the world is the twin protest in China and Iran that are similar, I mean, different sparks lit these

fires, but it's remarkable to see how brave people are in these two countries to go out

unarmed in the streets streets knowing that the police are

probably filming everybody that uh you know in the in iran they're openly shooting protesters in

china uh they're locking people up people just disappear a, I was just reading a journalist was beaten

by the police in, I believe, Shanghai over the weekend, a British journalist, and others

apparently are being harassed. These are very brave people going out into these streets

without arms, knowing that their governments

are brutal but it's a sign of the desperation that people cannot continue to live under the

thumb of these governments and just you know one one quick point on china you know the thing the issue

there is largely about the covid lockdowns. And what is sort of

breathtaking when you, when you focus on it, is that China still does not have a vaccine.
