The Mark Simone show continues on 710 W.O.R. In for Mark, here again is Larry Mente.

It is a holiday weekend. You have an extra day off, time to relax, maybe take in a movie, maybe streamed something great great and you have a lot of great choices

because this time of year all the oscar contenders come out and there's nobody that knows

this stuff better than jason nathanson abc entertainment correspondent from hollywood oh it's great

to be on with you so what are the movies that you would recommend?

Well, I can tell you what's out.

How about that?

Rather than what I can recommend, because I don't control the distribution pipeline.

So some of the movies that are out right now, one of them that I think you should actually

check out is the Iron Claw, which is a wrestling drama based on a true story of the Von Eric brothers and their father, who was a guy who really wanted to make it as a pro wrestler, but he feels he never really quite got his shot.

So he kind of molded his sons into being what he wanted to be.

It stars Zach Efron, Jeremy Allen White from The Bear, and a couple others as well.

Just no going in.

I thought going in, and I knew nothing about it.

I don't even know if I had watched the trailer.

I'd maybe caught a couple glimpses here and there, and I thought this was going to be kind of like a fun wrestling movie.

This is a really dark, tragic film. It is a drama that I was not prepared for, for it to be as dark as it was.

But again, it's based on a true story, and this is what happened and it's really it's it's pretty remarkable

what happened to the family they they considered themselves cursed and you'll find out more

about that in the film but it's also really really well done and it's a movie that I would

expect would be getting more awards attention than it actually is given it its high caliber nature of stars and also based

on true story and really good performances but i don't know if their officers campaign isn't working
