The Mark Simone Show on 710 W.O.R.

Well, Joe Concha, of course, you see him all over television, Fox News, Fox Business.

0:12.5

He's a great columnist. Follow him on Twitter. Joe Concha at Twitter. And make sure he get his book.

0:16.8

He's got an excellent book called Come On Man, all about Joe Biden. It's an excellent book. Already a bestseller. Joe Concha, how you doing? I feel like I just saw you like five minutes ago, Marks-in-law with Larry Cudlow. But yeah, that was just yesterday, wasn't it? Yes, we were the opening segment on Cudlow yesterday. Hey, we mentioned Chas Parliamentary a couple times. Apparently Apparently he loved it. He's a Cudlow fan, loves the show.

0:41.2

Isn't that amazing? Let's put it in context. So Mark and I were on the show, and Larry was going through,

0:49.5

Cudlow was going through all these polls showing that Donald Trump's unfavorable, favorable numbers were upside down, right?

0:55.3

He's like down 17 in terms of favorable versus unfavorable, but yet his polls, polling numbers keep going up as far as the GOP nomination, even some polls show him beating Joe Biden.

1:05.0

So how could that be?

1:06.0

How could he have such high unfavorables, but still be beating Joe Biden?

1:10.0

I think I said some long the line like he's not running for Pope, He's running for president. And then Chas Palman Terry, obviously, is the analogy you use here from a Bronx tale where he talks about, asked the question, what I rather be loved or what I rather be feared? And I think we both came to a conclusion that we'd rather be feared than loved. Actually, I don't know where you come down on that, Mark. Would you rather be loved or feared? I guess feared. No, you made an excellent point. Also, if you talk to the best pollsters in the world, what does that mean favorability, right? They said it means nothing. It can change in two seconds. It's like if Aaron Judge strikes out every time, low favorability. Next day, he hits two home runs, high favorability. It changes in a second. It's a great analogy, yeah. I think approval, disapproval, it means a little bit more. But as you said on the show yesterday, trusting polls in general is probably not a good idea based on what we've seen in the past and based on the fact that, look, I've never been polled of my life, right? I mean, I've never gotten a call, and plus when somebody calls my landline, I run away because it's probably a sales call. So how are they getting touched with all these people exactly? And why are the numbers always so similar from poll to poll? Like there can't be one outlier, right? It's going to always be around the same number. Like Joe Biden's always at 38%, 40%, 39%. You're telling me there's one ball out there one time when they call a bunch of people and they come back with like 4% of people approve of Joe Biden. I mean, that's the part I never understood. Well, there's real polls and fake polls. Don't trust college polls. Don't trust media

2:34.8

polls. They cost about 5,000 bucks. They're done with the worst metrics. There's real polls that

2:40.3

are deadly accurate, but they cost like a million a month. And the only people pay for them and see them

2:44.5

are the candidates themselves. So what are we talking about today? Hey, you wrote the book on Joe Biden Biden. It's called Come on, Man. Everybody should get this book.

2:54.5

But I'm watching them. Have you watched this Ireland trip? The gaffes are ridiculous. What is going to happen with it? You can't keep making these gaffes, can you?

3:03.1

It's amazing that the White House announced before the trip that he would not be taking any questions

3:07.6

from reporters all overseas. It's like, don't you dare even try to challenge this guy who happens

3:12.2

to be the commander in chief of the United States and currently is underwater big time when it

3:16.7

comes to inflation, crime, economy, obviously the border, obviously immigration, foreign policy.

3:23.1

Can't ask him any questions. You know, he's the president, but he can't be held accountable so then biden walks up to a bunch of

3:28.6

kids uh that i guess he was meeting with in dublin and one kid asked what the key is to success

3:35.3

and then his answer was making sure no one gets covid. That's the key of success.
