Summary

On July 4th, 1954, Marilyn Reese Sheppard was found brutally murdered inside her home in Bay Village, Ohio. Her husband's story seemed unbelievable, and the police quickly made Sam Sheppard their number one suspect. Sam was convicted of murder, then acquitted years later. His guilt or innocence is still a hotly debated topic. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the infamous unsolved murder of Marilyn Sheppard and the subsequent trials of her husband Sam. Sam's story was that he woke up to hear his wife screaming and was knocked unconscious in a fight with a bushy-haired intruder. The police didn't buy it and when they learned of Sam's infidelity, they used it as the motive for him to kill his wife. A window washer who told the police he thought Marilyn was attractive implicated himself in the murder over the years. But, what is the real story?
