| 0:34.9 | The last time I had a chance to see Mary and actually see her talk, and it was just fantastic. |
| 0:39.6 | She was the founding CEO of Navigenics, which is in that same category of personalized medicine and so on with 23 Me. |
| 0:49.2 | And I hope we hear a little bit about that today as well as about the Play First. |
| 0:53.5 | Before that, she was in the health care field |
| 0:56.8 | as well with Baby Center, as you can see. And then before that, at great consumer company, |
| 1:04.3 | a technology company into it. I think the connection here, and what I'm particularly pleased |
| 1:09.6 | to point out, is that she served as a member of the Board of Trustees for this university for seven years. |
| 1:18.2 | And that is the overall governing body. That's who President Hennessy reports to for the university. |
| 1:24.1 | And I had a chance to be a faculty rep on that for a little while recently for a couple of years. |
| 1:29.7 | And I just saw how much time trustees give to the university on frankly a volunteer basis. |
| 1:36.8 | So I really appreciated service to the university that way. |
| 1:39.4 | But the coolest thing is, and her real connection, her first connection to Stanford, was she |
| 1:45.8 | was an econ and sociology major here. |
| 1:49.0 | So, you know, hooray for humanities and sciences. |
| 1:53.4 | So let's welcome Mary back to campus. |
| 1:55.7 | Thank you. |
