and I'm your host today. I wanted to talk briefly, sort of a trip report if you will I spent the weekend going to the

March roundup AA Convention with Alan on Participation in Detroit Michigan I thought I'd talk a little bit about what

happened there, what I found there, and maybe encourage you to attend such a

thing in your own neighborhood, in your own area. So my wife and I, along with one of her friends, set off Friday afternoon to downtown Detroit.

We don't find ourselves in downtown Detroit too often so a little apprehensive I guess about

things like driving and parking but it actually worked very easily the hotel was right by the

freeway exit and it was parking pretty close nearby and since it was evening Friday evening we get even got a reasonably good parking rate so that was a good start we went into the hotel where there was no real signage directing us where to find the convention.

We had to ask one of the hotel employees and he says, oh, take the elevator up to the terrace level to TR.

So we did that and then it was very obvious.

We were in the right place.
