audio briefing. This morning, we're diving into some burning questions about Biden's

OMB pick and why Nira Tandon withdrew last night. But first, some COVID relief action to watch

for today. The Senate's expected to kick off a marathon session

to pass that $1.9 trillion in aid for Americans that we've been talking about for months now.

And clear your schedule because it'll likely drag on all week long. Chuck Schumer said Monday,

senators can expect some late, late nights spending quality time with the bill. Why? Because they're still

going back and forth about some pretty important details. Just last night, Senate Dems left the

Capitol with one crucial policy disagreement unresolved. How big those weekly federal unemployment

bonus checks should be? Here's where the fight stands right now. On one side, Senate moderates want to push for a last-minute

cut from $400 to $300 a week, while extending the bonus cash for a longer period of time. On the other side,

behind closed doors, Dems are saying, not a chance, guys. Biden himself urged Dems in a private

call last night to put their disagreements behind

them and just get the bill passed as is. Given that McConnell's rallying the entire GOP caucus to go

against the relief package, Schumer can't afford to lose a single Democratic vote, not one. And the

clock is ticking as the first procedural vote could happen today. Remember, Chuck promised

to send the bill to Biden's desk before March 14th, the day boosted federal unemployment benefits expire.

And with Biden saying yesterday that the U.S. will have enough vaccine supply for all adults by May,

I'll say it again, for every adult in America by the end of May, that's progress.

The pressure's ramping up to get those shots quickly, which the relief package includes money to do.
