Today we're covering the disappearance and murder of high school sophomore

Rayna Rison. Let's go back to the charming small town of La Port Indiana on March 26th, 1993, just after 6 p.m.

Matt Elser parked his car outside Reyna's house, just like he used to. He and Reyna Rison had been together for the better part of the past four years,

and if Matt had it his way, they for the better part of the past four years,

and if Matt had it his way,

they'd be together for a few more.

He just had to convince her to take him back.

She'd wanted to talk about it, so they agreed to meet at her house on Friday night, the 26th.

Matt thought Rayna was incredible, passionate and hardworking.

She played three instruments in the school marching band.

As if that wasn't lovable enough, she worked part time at the local animal

hospital pursuing her dream of becoming a veterinarian. But it was now well after six and

Matt was still waiting for Rayna to drive up and yell hello to him over the radio.

Fog was rising, with still no sign of her.

Matt tried to be patient as he watched the sunset.

Maybe she didn't want to get back together after all. Her shift ended at six. She should

have been home by now. But maybe Reyna was just held up at work. Maybe there was a sick animal, some emergency.
