Good evening. We begin tonight with major new development where the January 6

hearings left off. We have much work yet to do and we will see you all in

September. Well one thing became clear today nobody is waiting till September. For

starters we learned tonight that Mark Short, former vice president, vice

president Pence's chief of staff testified under subpoena last week before

federal grand jury in Washington. That's according to a source familiar with the

matter. Now this is significant because short was there in the room for some of

the key moments on and around the six. He's also the highest profile witness

known to have testified so far and we'll talk more about what that might say about

the Justice Department's criminal investigation and how far it can go. Also late

today president Biden waited on the central figure in Thursday's January 6

hearings. So it happened the Capitol police, the DC metropolitan police, other

law enforcement agencies were attacked and assaulted before our very eyes.

Speared, sprayed, stomped on, brutalized, and lives were lost. And for three

hours the defeated former president of the United States watched it all happen as

he sat in the comfort of the private dining room next to the Oval Office. As for

the committee it apparently is not waiting for September either. Today a member

Virginia Democratic Congresswoman Elaine Luria released a new video clip. It

shows the former president's unwillingness to include in his speech on

January 7th language holding the mob that he invited, incited, and wanted to
