Well, I can finally say it. We have a good one today, you know, for a change.

Journalist, author, a Temple University professor, Mark LeMont Hill joins me.

He is the anchor of Black News Tonight, which I learn you don't have to be black to watch.

In fact, you can get a lot out of watching Black News Tonight if you're not black.

Now, one thing I've learned watching Mark on Black News Tonight is that race is a social construct.

And I'm going to let Mark explain that in this conversation because he does that really well.

In fact, he explains a lot of stuff really well, unlike my usual guess I have to say.

We discussed the war in Ukraine, which of course both Mark and I find appalling and wrenching,

but Mark makes the point that Americans have been reacting to the horror there in a very different way.

And they did the similar atrocities that the Russians committed in Aleppo, Syria,

and other theaters where the victims were not as white as Ukrainians.

We've also seen the polls react very differently to refugees coming out of Ukraine who happen to be black African grad students

who have been studying in Ukraine, for example.

Now, Mark is a student of critical race theory, and I first started watching YouTube clips of him debate the subject with mainly idiots.

And I'm kind of obsessed with critical race theory, as you might know,

because it is being used by Republicans and the most cynical and completely dishonest way.

Some people have said to me, I'll just stop talking about critical race theory.
