manufacturing descent since 1996. This is hell. We are addicted and we're not only

destroying our own lives but the lives of future generations and the life of the planet itself.

Fossil fuels are a powerful drug, and every time we use, we make ourselves in the world just a little bit more sick.

Whether it's driving for several hours for your summer family vacation,

like we're all being encouraged to do now that the virus is supposedly over and as my

family will be doing in only a couple of weeks or by using any product derived from

petrochemicals like single-use plastics that are choking our oceans and sea life globally,

like the ones I get when food is delivered despite me explicitly requesting them to not

send any plastic wear. We're all users and therefore complicit in the planet's

destruction. We must quit fossil fuels if we want a healthy living

breathing planet that isn't gasping for what might be its final breaths as its

respiratory and circulatory system have been disrupted by climate change, driven by carbon emissions

created by human activity, meaning by us.

If we think of the world as a living physical body,

we can reconceive the way in which we are making it sick

and how we can still treat its illnesses if not cure them entirely.

The places where this sickness is most evident are where climate is in crisis already

and we'll take a global tour of how the planet works, how it's not working,

and what could be our future if something isn't done and fast.
