Hello. Well I was recently sorting through the long list of thinking loud

programs which might merit a further transmission, I tried to ensure that my

selection of the topics paid proper attention to the value of the

discussion but also to my own sociological predilections.

Ideology was a natural choice because in my seminars at York University I was not only

regularly challenged to spell out my own belief system but was frequently made to

listen at length while students earnestly sought to propagate their more radical alternatives.

And in this respect, no one stood out more than a zealous second year with the honest of nicknames. Among academics and fellow students he was

routinely known as theory and practice. It was a moniker he'd acquired because of

his constant insistence in seminars on such disparate topics as

colonialism, feminism and post-structuralism. His insistence that debate about the
