Summary

The Miami Dolphins signed Malik Willis in one of the most interesting signings and this is a perfect spot for Miami where there is no real downside as even if Willis fails, the Dolphins are still in a good spot for the future. Tua Tagovailoa also switched teams and went to the Atlanta Falcons, but this is a move that has very little upside and a lot of downside and could still leave the Falcons in a spot where they have no quarterback, Mike Evans switched squads after a long career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but heads to a better situation with the San Francisco 49ers which is a perfect fit for an all-in team. Alec Pierce also finally got his bag from the Indianapolis Colts, but it seems like a massive overpay. Kenneth Walker went to the Kansas City Chiefs in an interesting move that takes pressure off of Patrick Mahomes. A move the Chiefs needed to do to evolve as a team. Finally, the edge rushers got massive deals like Jaelen Phillips to the Carolina Panthers, which was a massive overpay and Odafe Oweh at $25 million per year with the Washington Commanders, which makes a little more sense. Tyler Linderbaum got the biggest deal for an interior offensive lineman in NFL history and it was a SHOCKER.

We say there were people out there saying some crazy numbers for Malik Willis, but it's three

years, 67 million, 45 million guaranteed. I think that's a pretty good number for the dolphins

after they release to Wetaga Viloa. Everybody was acting like it was going to be higher than that. I think for the money that they paid, taking a chance on Malik with the Green Bay connections, not a bad move, right? Yeah, I think it helps minimize some of that risk. Never, never eliminate it, but reduce some of that risk. When you're coaching, your head coach and your general manager know the player, know how he carries himself at practice and in the locker room and what his true strengths and weaknesses are beyond just what you can see on tape. And we've seen Dolphins offensive coordinator Bobby Sloick had a good first year with C.J. Stroud. I mean, year two wasn't nearly as good, but maybe it's a Cliff Kingsbury thing where they're great at first and then adjustments are hard. So that could at least have a good year in store for Malik Willis. Like I think if there's a spot for Malik Willis to, you know, settle in nicely, it was probably going to be this one or I guess Arizona. But I think there's a lot more connections here in Miami. It's just a question of whether they'll put enough talent around him for him to be able to be successful while they're tearing everything else down. Yeah, I think that's going to be difficult to do.
